Today, until March 5th is Eating Disorder Awareness Week. Its the time of year when we’re given extra permission to make some noise about these disorders (not that I need any extra permission).
Here is just a quick round-up of what I’m doing this week to increase awareness – and there will be more posts to come.
Following delivering some training to GP’s in Merseyside I have designed and distributed posters for them, and all other GP practices in my area. If you want a copy of the flyer to put up in your practice then just send me an email request (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Tuesday evening at 9 PM I will be speaking live with John over at ‘onlinevent‘ – talking about all the latest EDAW news. It is a great platform that allows Counsellors, and other interested professionals, to get FREE CPD in the form of 1 hour interviews, talks, and therapy sessions.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday I will be all the way up in Scotland running 2 hour Eating Disorder sessions at ‘The Big Skills Weekend‘ which a training weekend hosted by Youth Scotland.
And lastly, listen out for me on Capital FM being interviewed about why EDAW is so important. If a link becomes available to the recording I will come back and update this post – and also follow me on Twitter and Instagram for any last minute plans or to follow the events!
